Summer Camp Weeks
Das rote Team war die unangefochtenen Gewinner in diesem Jahr.( The red team reigned victorious this year, but all teams participated enthusiastically and demonstrated good sportsmanship.)

Diese Woche ist Entdecker Woche. Campers are asked to come dressed as
their favorite hero on Wednesday. ( I told them a hero doesn't have to
be famous!) Friday will showcase a visit from the Franklin Institute.
It's going to be a great week!
The C1 Finders had a terrific, fun filled week. Campers enjoyed lots
of running games in Landsports; one of the favorites--Frogs and Flies!
In Toys, the children are finishing up their bear pillows and will be
bringing them home soon. There are some very creative bears too! In
addition, we added Fine Art, to our repertoire where many masterpieces
were created.
The theme this week being
"Heroes" brought many super heroes in on Wednesday--we all felt very
well protected! Also this week, we enjoyed a wonderful presentation by
the Franklin Institute on Flight. Campers loved all of the demonstrations, the culminating one of which was a rocket launch!
Week six was a ton of fun for everyone! We began the week
examining shells, investigating the different fish tanks in the nature
room and watching a video on coral. Campers enjoyed getting up close
and personal with all of the fish and the HUGE turtle!
While
we are sad to be saying goodbye to a handful of our new summer friends
this week.
Once
again, the C1-nders engaged in a spirited game of old school dodgeball
where we saw great examples of good sportsmanship--awesome! Land Sports
brought out the big parachute and the group loved running underneath
it.
Indoor activities included the conclusion
of the bear pillow project, a High School Musical singalong and model
magic sculpting in crafts. The camp show, an original story written by
our drama counselors was fantastic! We all thoroughly enjoyed it.
